Pulled pork? Falkirk Council come to a decision over new Three Little Pigs Larbert takeaway

The latest Falkirk Herald Bulletin 20-11-2025

Local authority planners have been chewing a proposal that would allow popular Falkirk takeaway Three Little Pigs’ relocate to Larbert.

Three Little Pigs Catering Ltd lodged an application with Falkirk Council on June 26 looking for permission to change the use of the presmises at Unit 4 and Unit 5 Curragh Way, Bellsdyke Road, Larbert to create a hot food takeaway and install a ventilation unit.

Currently located in Callendar Riggs in the east end of Falkirk town centre, Three Little Pigs will soon be upping sticks to move its operation to the Larbert site.

Earlier this month – before the planning permission was officially granted – Three Little Pigs’ owner Isobel, known as “Izzy”, Kerr announced online work was starting on the new premises on Monday, November 17.

A post on the Three Little Pigs’ Facebook page stated: “Today we got some very, very exciting news – we met up with our builders who will be turning this shell into Three Little Pigs.

“After a long battle with all the boring paperwork shenanigans, we finally have a start date – the making of our new home officially starts on Monday.”

Three Little Pigs announced in July it was moving away from its current location – Izzy saying the news was “Falkirk’s worst kept secret” as she posted the information online.

At the time she stated: “We are moving to Larbert. We have the perfect two units that will be getting turned into one big bistro, takeaway and outside catering unit. We have given our notice in Falkirk and we’re hoping to be open at the end of the year.”

As for the reason behind the departure and move to Larbert, Izzy added: “Our little takeaway has exploded since we opened – we outgrew our shop about a month after we opened.

“Two years later and our dream is finally becoming a reality.”

In July Izzy withdrew an application she lodged with Falkirk Council on February 19 to change the use of the premises at 9 Callendar Riggs, Falkirk from an office premises a to hot food takeaway.

The proposal had been part of the business’s expansion plans at that location.
